The Macau Architecture Promenade (MAP) is a month long, citywide opportunity to rethinking of architecture, the city and the public space.
MAP aims:
1. rethinking architecture, the city and public space in relation to other arts and in the wider context of culture;
2. rethinking urban culture, experimentation, and innovative practices in order to inspire new ways of thinking about the city;
3. to place Macau in the map of international contemporary architecture and art discussion;
4. to map local cultural resources linking them in innovative ways;
5. to discuss about what role does architecture and art plays in shaping a better city, better lives and better futures;
6. to discuss about how public is the public space.
In order to achieve its goals, MAP presents a program of exhibitions, artistic interventions in the public space, books, talks, visits, film screenings, workshops and activities for kids and families.
