Influxus 2015
Workshop
InFLUXUS gathers university students, artists and film directors from China, Macau and Portugal into a common process of intercultural and creative learning. For 10-20 days, participants have the opportunity to work in mixed groups, creating a short film. The short films are presented to the public.

Placing itself between cultures and artistic disciplines, InFLUXUS aims:

1. to develop intercultural competences and create intercultural innovators;
2. to explore relationships between contemporary art, video and cinema;
3. to explore major topics within contemporary art;
4. to produce a creative work.

OTHER OBJECTIVES:

1. understand the Chinese and European identities in relation to one another;

2. develop skills that prepare young people for a career on a global scale;

3. develop a structured and sustained cooperation between cultural institutions and organizations in China and Europe;

4. create a community of young, creative, active, critical and conscious participants sensitive to contemporary art;

5. allow interaction with artists from different cultures in an innovative way;

6. stay at the forefront of non-formal learning programs;

7. create contemporary heritage resulting from creative work developed by young students and artists;

8. explore possible methodologies to understand and measure the cultural exchange;

9. explore new tools for qualitative analysis, to assess the depth of cultural exchange generated;

10. enhance international co-productions in the field of cinema and audiovisual work, to benefit the cinema industries in China, Macau and Portugal.
