Gerald Estadieu has been a Professor and Research Coordinator from the Department of Design at the Faculty of Industries Creatives at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), in Macau, since 2009. With a Master's in Signal Processing and Image from the University of Orléans (France) and a PhD in Science and Technology of the Arts from the Portuguese Catholic University (School of Arts in Porto), his research and artistic activity are centred now on the areas of Interactivity, Hacking and Digital Fabrication. He created the digital fabrication laboratory at U.S.J. and co-founded the first fab lab in Macau, the Minchee Lab. He is a member of several collaborative experiments with international companies such as Museomix and Hackmychurch. He developed artistic projects in local museums and global markets, integrating interactive technology and digital manufacturing.
